Correction Fluid Anyone?

 I have declared a new holiday.

One that we can enjoy every week, heck everyday would be just fine too.

I shall call my holiday...

'Whiteout ®  Wednesday'

I'm not sure about you but yesterday was not a perfect day for me.

I began my day behind schedule.

Made several mistakes.

I missed a call I was looking forward to.

I overindulged with a delicious buttered corn muffin in the morning.

I didn't accomplish my post it note 3 things.

I didn't let the driver on the corner of Colonial Springs Road and some other road (you see I forgot the name too, tsk tsk) cut into traffic.

I was short with my sis-in-luv when she told me for the eighth time (no joke 8 times, she is experiencing some dementia from the chemo) she didn't think she could take her new medicine every night because she wouldn't remember and I told her for the 8th time that the home health aide and I will be sure she has it, but my answer was curt.

Yikes I need a do over!

Keep writing....come on.... you know you've failed more than that.....get the book going!

Perfect.

Now get out the correction fluid and celebrate along with me for today is 

'Whiteout ®  Wednesday'

You can begin again today.

You can move forward without the burden of yesterday.

You can be all you were wired to be, you simply need to begin.

And Wednesday is as good a day as any.

Oh and pass the correction fluid, would ya....I'm sure I'll be needing it for 1 thing or another today too!

Right Ladder Wrong Wall

The more I meet people that are really motivated to find a focus that is a great fit for them, the more I see how much we have in common.

It seems to be a common human condition that we are fearful of failure.  

I know you're thinking..."Duh" right?

Sure I have always known that people don't want to fail, but now I see a really common reason why.

Over and over again I hear people say, I had an idea but I wasn't sure it was right so I didn't do anything with it.  They are in fact afraid that if they climb the ladder they may find out it was against the wrong wall.

But, what if it wasn't?

What if it provided you with energy to move the ladder to the right wall?

What if, once you expended all that energy and finished the climb you had a different view?  What if you learned something new about business, people or yourself?  What if you saw the right wall from that altitude? What if you saw someone trying to scale the wall who needed a ladder?

When I was growing up there was a great song The Supreme's had and I found its appealing then and I still do today.

"Come up the ladder to the roof

Where we can see heaven much better

Come up the ladder to the roof

Where we can be..."

Now you finish the rest...where I can be _______________________

Now, go climb the ladder!

What Do You Dream Of....?

Recently I've had the good fortune to hear several adults talk about their love of flying. Several had years of experience and a few only a few experiences but that was enough to get them hooked on the dream of flight.

What do you dream of?  Is it riches?  Status?  Title? Fancy car? 

Or is it something deeper? Something more meaningful? Something powerful?  Something you are dawn to?  From across the room you can hear someone mention it and you just have to get in on that discussion?  

I love the story in the bible of Joseph and his dreams.  I often wonder if somehow God would supernaturally get the message to me that this thing I dream of is what I am meant to be. That somehow I needed a lightning bolt or for the earth to shake to know 'for sure'. 

Or maybe the message has reached me, through the dreams and validating experiences I do have. 

Or through the wonderful feedback from others?

Or though the way it makes me feel when I am living in my purpose, like I'm ...flying.

I am having the privilege of living on a very special street.  

You'll find it at the intersection of Strengths and Passion. 

And the very best part is...there's plenty of room on the block!

Join in...what are you really good at doing?  What are the activities that people are always complimenting you on?  What are the activities you find you can do and time just flies?

What are the things you are most passionate about? The ones that bring a tear to your eye, a fire in your belly or a lump in your throat.

Once you discover how you are uniquely wired and gifted....you've made it to the intersection we call the sweet spot.
